Having gone eight months without a win, Bubba Watson is hoping that run will come to an end in Thailand next month.
Bubba Watson: Wants to beat the best
The Masters champion is off to Asia for the Thailand Golf Championship where he is not only hoping to end his winless streak but also out to claim his first international victory.
Watson heads the $1 million Asian Tour tournament, which will also feature defending champion Lee Westwood, former Open winner Louis Oosthuizen, 2011 Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, Sergio Garcia, Hunter Mahan and Ryo Ishikawa.
"I would love to walk away with the trophy there," Watson said of the event, which takes place at the Amata Spring Country Club from December 6-9.
"I'm looking forward to going to the Thailand Golf Championship and challenging myself and challenging the golf course and trying to beat some of the best players in the world."
He added: "Lee won it last year and he said it was a great event and he enjoyed his time there. I heard there are some islands which are beautiful and I would like to do some sight-seeing."
Watson hasn't won a tournament since he beat Oosthuizen in a play-off to secure his maiden major at Augusta National.
The 34-year-old American is determined not to be just a one-time major winner.
"It was a crazy week. To pull that off to win and put on the Green Jacket, it was very special. It hasn't changed me as a person, but it has changed me as a golfer," he said.
"Knowing that I can do it and perform under pressure, I'm looking forward to many more Majors and trying to win more Majors and another Green Jacket."
