Gary Player insists world number one Tiger Woods still has "a great chance" of breaking Jack Nicklaus' majors record.
Tiger Woods: Will he or won't he?
A few years ago it would have been hard to find anyone who thought the American would not go on to pass "The Golden Bear's" haul of 18 majors, but he has fallen on lean times recently with his last success back at the Masters in 2008.
Although he has found some form this year, he has still come up short and many are now doubting whether or not he will match Nicklaus' feat, let alone pass it.
However, South African Player, who won nine majors in his career, believes Woods will eventually win four or more big ones.
"The fact that he's had different coaches giving him different swing thoughts (that hurts him)," Player told ESPN's SportsCenter. "When you change your swing to that degree, even as talented as you are, it takes time to get the muscle memory and to have it work under pressure.
"(Tiger) is so talented and so dedicated. I think he's got a great chance of passing Jack Nicklaus. Five majors is a lot. That's Mickelson's entire career. He'll play in another 40 majors at least as long as his knee stands up, and as long as he's healthy. We never know what's around the corner. But all things being equal, I think that he's got a great chance of doing it."
