Tiger Woods admits his participation in the Deutsche Bank Championship is "hypothetical" due to a back problem.
The world number one finished in a tie for second place at The Barclays on Sunday, but of bigger concern for him will be the back spasm he suffered during the final round.
He appeared to be on course to battle for the victory but he collapsed in agony on all fours at the par-5 13th hole before slowly getting up. He went on to make a bogey and dropped another shot at the 16th, which all but ended his hopes of winning.
"It actually started the hole before, my little tee shot there started it and 13 just kind of accentuated it," said Woods, who had battled a lower back problem the whole week.
He added: "It's definitely spasming."
Woods ended up with a two-under-par 69, which left him one stroke behind winner Adam Scott from Australia, but attention is already switching to the next FedExCup event.
The Deutsche Bank Championship starts in Boston on Thursday and Woods is not yet sure about his participation.
Asked about his status by CBS Sports, he replied: "That's all hypothetical. I just got off (the course) and I'm not feeling my best right now."
