The 2013 Masters is still several months away, but Ian Poulter hopes his current form will put him in the right mindset when he heads to Augusta.
Just weeks after starring in Europe's amazing come-from-behind Ryder Cup win over the United States at Medinah, the 36-year-old was again at it in China over the weekend.
A final round of 65 helped the Englishman to win the co-sanctioned European and USPGA WGC Champions by two shots from Phil Mickelson, Jason Dufner, Ernie Els and Scott Piercy.
Poulter, who broke his 2012 title drought with the win at Shenzhen, admits he is still on a high following the Ryder Cup win.
"It's obviously a fantastic feeling, especially after the Ryder Cup," he said.
"I've definitely taken a lot from that and obviously I'm riding that wave as much as I possibly can."
Although delighted with his Ryder Cup showings and success on the European and US PGA Tours, Poulter knows there is still one thing missing from his CV: a major.
The next chance he will get is in April at the US Masters.
"I base my schedule around the majors and obviously players get looked upon by how many majors they've won," he added.
"I have not done that yet and this will certainly help towards confidence - not that I really need too much of that - in getting me the right mindset to go out and perform like I know I can.
"I know I've got the golf game. People keep asking all the time 'when, when, when?' - I don't know when, but I'm trying really hard and I'll do my best next year."
