Mountain View Course was designed in 2004 by Pacific Coast Designs (Australia), a renowned firm celebrated for creating golf courses that harmoniously blend with natural landscapes. Here, the architects skillfully leveraged the dramatic beauty of the mountains surrounding the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture, crafting an 18-hole, Par 72 course stretching 6,978 yards from the Gold tees.
The entire course is planted with premium Novotec grass, imported directly from Australia - a variety known for its heat tolerance, moisture resistance, and perfect adaptability to Northern Vietnam’s climate.
Set against a backdrop of majestic mountains and featuring thoughtful course design, Mountain View offers golfers a truly unique experience, combining technical challenges with the grandeur of nature.
A par 4 straight away with a fairway bunker on the right that will catch the longer tee shot. The pond on the right, 40 yds from the green will only be found by the errant shot. The green is bunkered on the left but very approachable.
A long par 4 that is well bunkered on both sides of the fairway with water even further to the left. The long second shot will be challenged by trees that lean in toward the narrow green if the tee shot isn’t in the fairway.
A long par 5 that gently dog-legs around to the left. Tee shots too far to the left will find the second shot blocked be trees but too far to the right will find the fairway bunker. The green is well bunkered, especially on the left. It would take the longest of hitters to reach this green in two.
A long and challenging 210 yd par 3. Well bunkered all around and mis - hit shots that are short will find the pond in front.
A medium length par 4 with a fairway split by a group of bunkers. Either side of the bunkers is safe but the left side gives a better view of the green. The green is guarded by bunkers and water on the left and shots played to the right will bounce off the slope toward the green.
A picturesque par 5 with water all down the left side and flower beds on the right that play as lateral hazard. Once safely in play off the tee, the second shot offers risk/reward. The green is reachable with a very long shot but it is well bunkered and there are also bunkers on the left out to 80 yds, forcing the lay up shot well to the right and short.
A par 4 with water all down the left side and trees just past the mounded right side of the fairway. There is a fairway bunker on each side of the fairway, narrowing the landing area. A shot played short of these bunkers will leave a comfortable short iron in. The small green is bunkered in front and slopes from right to left toward the water.
A signature par 3 over water to a green that is guarded by a bunker in front and slopes from back-right to front-left, providing many challenging hole locations.
A short par 4 with a large fairway bunker on the right side. There is water on the left but only a very errant shot will find this hazard. The green slopes from back to front and is well bunkered in front, on the left, and at the back.
A short, dog - leg par 4 over a knoll to the right. A tee shot shaped left to right is ideal here but a shot hit straight will find the fairway bunker on the right side of the fairway. The green is well bunkered on the right but shots from the fairway will be a short iron.
A par 5 that gently dog-legs left. Tee shots should be kept right and away from the fairway bunkers on the left. The green is reachable in two for the long hitters but it is well bunkered on both sides.
A dog - leg right par 4 with a level tee shot and a downhill second shot. A group of fairway bunkers at the corner on the right prevents everyone but the long hitters from cutting the corner. Past the corner on the left is a fairway bunker that will catch the ball of the long hitter who hadn’t the fortitude to go straight over the corner. The downhill second shot must be struck well to hold this green.
A challenging par 3 that is all carry over water to a green that is bunkered on the right.
A par 4, dog - leg left that is guarded by trees all down the left side. This tee shot must be shaped from right to left in order to have a short iron in to the green. The green slopes from back - left to front - right with a bunker at the front-right.
A long uphill par 3 with deep bunkers on the left of the large green.
A short dog - leg right par 5. Long hitters can challenge the fairway bunker on the right and have a long iron into the green. Shots that stray right however will leave a second shot completely blocked by trees. The second shot on this hole is challenged by a group of bunkers that lay from 80 to 50yds from the green. This shot must be short or right of these bunkers unless the player has the length to carry them.
A short, very well bunkered par 4. The fairway is very narrow for those who wish to play a long club off the tee. The green slopes from back to front and has deep bunkers in front.
A dog - leg par 4 to the left. The corner is guarded by a tree and the right side of the fairway has a deep bunker. The second shot is over a pond to a green that is well bunkered at the front on either side.
